- Cathcart is a town in the Eastern Cape Province of South Africa, named after Sir George Cathcart. Sir George Cathcart was governor of the Cape of Good Hope between 1852 and 1853.
The town is situated on the N6 highway, just north of Stutterheim on route to Queenstown.
